Welcome to The Engine Room FAQ. Here you’ll find everything you need to plan your visit, from opening times to booking details.

  • We are open all day from 7am for coffees and drinks.

  • Yes, kids are welcome. We have a kids menu, high chairs and a baby change.

  • Our Sunday Roast menu is available every Sunday from noon until 9:45pm and features our take on the classic roast and more.

  • Yes. Unlimited buffet breakfast is available every day and bookings aren’t needed unless you’re coming with a large group.

  • We served coffee with beans roasted locally by 200 Degrees. Our coffees are available all day, every day for takeaway or sit-in. We also have a coffee loyalty scheme so pick up a card and start collecting stamps.

  • We recommend booking in advance during busy times, but we always try to accommodate walk ins.

  • Of course. We have a full drinks menu and a hot drinks list if you just fancy a quick coffee in some nice surroundings.

  • We do and you can see the menu here.

  • We have the ability to turn The Engine Room into a private dining space for large events or we are always happy to host large group bookings. Visit our group dining page to learn more and submit a booking request.

  • We do. All of the meats on our lunch and dinner menus come from Owen Taylor & Sons, a renowned local butcher. Our coffee beans come from local favourites 200 Degrees, and we’re also proud to stock gins from local supplier Withers Gins and ales from Dancing Duck brewery.

  • Yes. Complimentary WiFi is available for all guests.description

  • We do accept walk ins whenever possible, but we recommend booking in advance during peak hours, weekends and special events.

  • Well behaved dogs are welcome in our bar and lounge areas. For dining in the main restaurant, we ask that only assistance dogs are brought inside.

  • Yes. We can accommodate most dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. If you have a specific allergy or intolerance, please let us know when booking so our team can help.

  • Bold flavours, seasonal ingredients and an industrial chic setting that strikes the balance between relaxed and refined. Whether it is coffees at 7am, cocktails after dark or a full dining experience, we are here for good food, good drinks and good company.

  • Yes. There is local parking available at Derbion and NCP Siddals Road, both a short walk from our doors.

  • Yes. The venue has step free access and accessible facilities. If you have specific requirements, contact us and we will be happy to assist.
